Mary Beth Allen lives in Dayton, Ohio, and attends Beavercreek Church of the Nazarene. She graduated from Mount Vernon Nazarene University with a degree in psychology. Currently, she writes Christian Children's books fulfilling a life-long dream. She finds her inspiration from the time she spent with her brothers' and sister's children having adventures.

Iamadore was her first published book, followed by The City of Mystery.

A poem she wrote, Forgiven and Forgotten, was published in the Standard (Word Action Publishing Company.)
